The Parks and Recreation Department coordinates recreational programs and events for residents of all ages; manages all room, field and pavilion reservations for city properties; and manages the municipal golf course and ice arena.
The City of Creve Coeur recently completed a citywide parks and recreation master plan to evaluate needs in our parks and develop a plan for improvements for the next 10 to 15 years. The study was led by Planning Design Studio, a St. Louis area landscape architecture firm that specializes in park planning.
After months of data collection and public input, the Parks Master Plan was adopted by City Council during the meeting on September 23, 2019. The plan will act as a guide for city staff for the next 10 to 15 years, laying out a plan for priority renovations and future additions in city parks.
The Parks Master Plan includes improvements to existing facilities and proposals for new features, such as disc golf, trails, improved signage, a nature trail at Millennium Park and a water play feature at Beirne Park.
