Responsibilities & Duties

Staff members of the Planning Division are responsible for all planning-related activities for the City of Creve Coeur. Primary activities include professional planning support for the City Council, Planning and Zoning Commission, Board of Adjustment and the Economic Development Commission.

Related major department duties and responsibilities include:
  • Responding to applications and inquiries from the public
  • Developing, maintaining and implementing the Comprehensive Plan
  • Maintaining the Zoning Code and the official Zoning Map
  • Coordinating the Capital Improvement Program
  • Facilitating economic opportunities consistent with the community's overall goals and expectations
  • Pursuing projects eligible for federal and state funding to advance the community's identified goal
