Arbor Day Celebration

Celebrating in a time of social distancing!

As celebrations of every type have adapted and taken on new life online, the City’s annual Arbor Day celebration is no different. The City of Creve Coeur has been a distinguished and recognized “Tree City” for the past 23 years. As such, Arbor Day signifies an opportunity to educate and inspire residents about the importance, value and love of trees.

Hosted by the Horticulture, Ecology and Beautification Committee, the City celebrated Arbor Day on Sunday, April 25, 2021. The 2021 Arbor Day Celebration included a plant giveaway, virtual activities for kids, and an educational webinar about native trees and shrubs led by certified arborist Dan Billman, an associate professor of horticulture at St. Louis Community College–Meramec and horticulturist at Kirkwood Gardens.
