Since 2003, Project ChildSafe has promoted safe firearms handling and storage practices among firearms owners by distributing more than 25 million safety kits to gun owners in all 50 states. Their efforts are made possible through grants from the Bureau of Justice Assistance and other business partners. Today, they continue to help its law enforcement partners promote firearms safety.
The Creve Coeur Police Department partners with Project ChildSafe to distribute approximately 150 kits annually. The kits, available for free from the Creve Coeur Police Department, contain gun safety pamphlets, pledges and free gun locking devices.
Project ChildSafe partners with several local police agencies, check their website for a location nearest to you.
