City of Creve Coeur ADA Title II Program
The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), enacted on July 26, 1990, provides comprehensive rights and protections to individuals with disabilities in the areas of employment, state and local government services, public accommodations, and telecommunications. The ADA Title II prohibits all state and local governments from discriminating on the basis of disability but, moreover, its goal is to promote equality of opportunity and full participation. The City of Creve Coeur works to ensure that every program, service, benefit, activity and facility operated or funded by the City of Creve Coeur is accessible to, and useable by, people with disabilities. The city strives to eliminate barriers that may prevent persons with disabilities from access to or participation in city programs, services, activities, and facilities.
The Assistant City Administrator is the ADA Title II Coordinator for the City of Creve Coeur and coordinates the City’s efforts to comply with all applicable laws and regulations. The ADA Title II Coordinator is available to answer questions from both the public and city employees about accommodating persons with disabilities and Title II of the ADA.
