Resident Survey

The City of Creve Coeur conducted its triennial resident survey in fall of 2021 as part of the City’s continued effort to assess citizen satisfaction with the quality of City services and to obtain input on key issues facing the City. Of the randomly selected households, 428 responded to the seven-page survey, exceeding the goal of 400 completed surveys.

The City contracted with ETC Institute, who compiled and analyzed survey responses. The results of the survey were presented to the City Council during the Council Work Session on November 22, 2021.

The survey addressed both opportunities and challenges facing the community, and residents’ responses to the survey will help guide elected officials in setting priorities and making service improvements over the next three years.

The survey results will guide the City Council during the development of the City’s Strategic Plan in 2022, a document that provides focus to municipal operations during the next three years, including specific goals tied to priorities such as financial stability and improved city services.

City Receives "Leading the Way Award"

The City of Creve Coeur has been recognized with the "Leading the Way Award" from ETC Institute for the City's outstanding achievement in delivery of services to residents.

Recipients of the "Leading the Way Award" rank in the top 10% of all cities and counties in the United States with regard to their composite performance in three core areas assessed on the triennial survey: (1) satisfaction with the overall quality of services, (2) satisfaction with customer service provided by employees, and (3) satisfaction with the value residents think they receive for local taxes and fees.

ETC Institute conducted the City's triennial resident survey in fall of 2021. The results reported that 95% of residents surveyed were satisfied with the overall quality of services provided by the City; 81% were satisfied with the quality of customer service from City employees; and 80% were satisfied with the overall value received for local tax dollars and fees.

In addition to ranking in the top 10% overall, the City also rated in the top 10% in the areas of: effectiveness of communication, parks and recreation programs and facilities, solid waste services, image of the community, overall quality of life in the community, satisfaction as a place to live, and satisfaction as a place to raise children.

This class of recipients for ETC Institute’s "Leading the Way Award" were selected from nearly 200 communities that completed a community satisfaction survey with ETC Institute during a six-month timeframe.
