Advanced Citizen Police Academy

ADVANCED CITIZEN'S POLICE ACADEMY 

Date: Wednesdays beginning September 6th, 2023 continuing through September 27th, 2023
Time: 7:00-9:00 p.m.
Enrollment: Currently only open to the current CPA students

Topics to be covered include:

  • Bomb & Arson 
  • Forensics 
  • Major Case Squad
  • Metro Air Support & The St. Louis County Tactical Operations Unit

The academy is open to all graduates of the Basic Citizens Police Academy class of any year. A criminal background check of all applicants will be completed, and a waiver must be signed. Due to the success of the basic Citizen Police Academy, the Creve Coeur, Chesterfield, Des Peres, Frontenac, Kirkwood, Ladue, Olivette, and Town and Country Police Departments have implemented an Advanced Citizen Police Academy.


This advanced academy, which generally begins on the first Tuesday in September, will be held once a year and participants will be given the opportunity to gain even more perspective on the daily operations of police departments. The advanced academy is only open to citizens who have graduated from our basic Citizen Police Academy program.  An additional background check of all applicants will be completed to ensure the safety and confidentiality of law-enforcement specific material. All applicants must be over 18.
