- Use timers for lights, televisions or radios to make your home look occupied while you are away.
- Remember to stop your mail and newspapers.
- Don’t advertise that you are out of town on social networking sites or in public – you never know who’s paying attention.
- If you are friendly with your neighbors, tell them you will be out of town and what vehicles should be in your driveway.
RESIDENTIAL Alarm systems
The City of Creve Coeur does not require a permit to install a residential alarm system, however, per city ordinance, too many false alarm calls in a calendar year may result in service charges. Refer to our Alarm Info Guide for more information.REPORT-IT: CITIZEN PROPERTY INVENTORY SYSTEM
No one expects to be a victim of crime. Create your FREE personal account with Report-It.
The Creve Coeur Police Department has enrolled in a free personal property inventory for residents called Report-It. Citizens can create an online account of personal property which allows them to store important information to include serial numbers, item descriptions, pictures, and scans of receipts so items may be more easily identified in the event of theft.
A detailed and accurate list of property greatly assists police in the investigative process
and it can also come in handy when filing claims with insurance providers.
Citizens wanting to participate in Report-It can register for the free service at reportit.leadsonline.com. See the frequently asked questions link for more information.
