Thursday, June 6
Registration opens at 6:30 p.m.; Program starts at 7:00 p.m.
Danforth Plant Science Center
975 N. Warson Rd.
The City of Creve Coeur’s public forum on June 6 will continue as scheduled but shift its focus to a discussion on ways to improve governance in the St. Louis region, such as the Board of Freeholders process supported by the Municipal League of Metro St. Louis. This change of focus is a result of the group known as Better Together announcing its withdrawal of the petition to merge St. Louis City, St. Louis County and all county municipalities.
UMSL Professor Emeritus Terry Jones will lead a discussion on the current state of the St. Louis region’s government and opportunities for change going forward, followed by the opportunity for questions from the audience.
Coffee and refreshments will be available at 6:30 p.m. before the forum begins. The public forum will start at 7:00 p.m., at the Danforth Plant Science Center, 975 N. Warson Rd.
This event will take the place of “Coffee with the Mayor” for the month of June, which is held the first Thursday morning of every month. There will be no Coffee with the Mayor during July due to the Independence Day holiday.
Pre-registration is encouraged, but walk-in registrations are also welcome. If you have any questions about the event, please call Melissa Orscheln, Public Information Officer and Management Analyst, at (314) 442-2081.
