The coronavirus pandemic has greatly impacted small, locally owned businesses across the nation. Local businesses, which are often the heart of a community, are struggling to remain open during this challenging time.
Creve Coeur is home to over 1,000 businesses that are making a positive impact in the community. Each business contributes to Creve Coeur’s high quality of life and plays an important role in building a strong local economy, creating jobs and expanding the City's tax base. You can help support Creve Coeur businesses and keep your dollars in the community by choosing to shop local.
Here are some ways you can support local businesses:
- Shop Local. Look at your shopping list and ask yourself what can be bought locally. Purchase gift cards or gift certificates to use at a later date. Take advantage of online ordering and shopping by appointment.
- Eat Local. Order takeout or curbside pickup. Pick a day of the week and make it your takeout day! Creve Coeur has over 60 restaurants—see the full list at www.crevecoeurmo.gov/Restaurants.
- Spread the Word. Post photos of your food or favorite items you've purchased on social media. Write a positive review on Facebook, Google or Yelp. Follow local businesses on Facebook and share their posts.
