On Saturday, May 8, the City of Creve Coeur is partnering with the St. Louis Area Foodbank to collect food donations for families in need, as part of the county-wide “Mayors for Meals” food drive.
Since last March, the St. Louis Area Foodbank has distributed close to 50 million meals, a 39% increase compared to pre-pandemic efforts, with 75% of individuals reporting they were seeking additional assistance as a result of COVID-19.
Items may be dropped off for donation at the Creve Coeur Police Department lobby (350 N. New Ballas Rd.) on Saturday, May 8, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The best items to donate include canned meat, canned vegetables, canned fruit, peanut butter, cereal, pasta, dish soap, sanitizing wipes, soap, lotion, toothpaste, baby food, formula, shampoo, diapers, feminine products, toilet paper and paper towels.
