The City of Creve Coeur is in the process of creating a park master plan to evaluate the needs and develop a plan for future improvements in Dr. H. Phillip Venable Memorial Park, including a memorial honoring Dr. Venable.
The public is invited to attend a public meeting on Thursday, June 16, from 6:30-8:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Government Center, 300 N. New Ballas Road. The public meeting will also be livestreamed online and the Zoom link will be available on the City's website.
The public meeting will be led by HDR, a design and engineering company, that has committed to sponsoring the creation of a master plan for the park.
During the public meeting, HDR will provide an update on the master planning process and solicit input from attendees on recommendations for park improvements. The public meeting will also include discussion of a memorial honoring Dr. Venable, the park's namesake. HDR, along with an art consultant, will assist with the process of commissioning an artist to create the memorial.
