Every year during the Annual Meeting of the East-West Gateway Council of Governments, local governments are recognized for excellence and innovation. At the 53rd Annual Meeting on November 15, Creve Coeur received an Outstanding Local Government Achievement Award in recognition of the city’s collaboration on the 39 North District Master Plan.
The St. Louis Economic Development Partnership has partnered with the City of Creve Coeur, along with the City of Olivette and other area stakeholders including the Danforth Plant Science Center, Great Rivers Greenway and Bayer, to create a master plan for the 39 North Innovation District.
The master plan is a bold vision to implement physical and aesthetic improvements to create a unique brand and provide the framework for growth, attracting more industry leaders and jobs to the region.
“Once the vision of the 39 North Master Plan is fully implemented, it will no doubt bring new life to this already well-established district and will reinforce our corner of the world as a global hub for agtech innovation,” said Mayor Barry Glantz.
